The Celebrity Solstice cruise ship, which was inaugurated on Nov. 23, 2008, can hold up to 2,850 passengers. It is 1,041 feet long and can cruise at a speed up to 24 knots.
Celebrity Solstice offers many firsts for the Celebrity Cruise Line. It hosted the first lawn club at sea, a freshly manicured lawn on the highest deck of the ship between the funnels. The Celebrity Solstice also features the cruise line's first hot glass show, a custom-designed outdoor glass-blowing studio that offers live demonstrations for cruise passengers.
Another feature of the cruise ship is the Canyon Ranch SpaClub and fitness center, which offers a variety of spa treatments and a wellness and lifestyle program. Those who enjoy wine can try out Wine Cellars, a wine bar that offers a state-of-the-art Enomatic wine-by-the-glass dispensing system. The system pours wine directly from the bottle in 1-ounce, 2.5-ounce or 5-ounce portions. Celebrity Solstice also includes a number of specialty restaurants, such as Silk Harvest Restaurant, a family-style Asian restaurant that includes a blend of delicacies from Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine.
As of October 2015, Celebrity Solstice offers cruise itineraries to Alaska, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii and to South Pacific destinations such as Fiji and New Caledonia.
