Full Answer

As of 2015, the TTC addresses four types of bus routes on its website: downtown express routes, community bus routes, all-night bus routes and regular bus routes. Travelers can easily identify downtown express routes by the bus route number, which is between 141 and 145. Community bus routes also feature a unique numbering system, with route numbers between 400 and 409. All-night bus routes feature route numbers between 300 and 385, while normal bus routes start at 5 and end at 224.

In addition to bus route system maps, the TTC provides comprehensive subway maps, streetcar network maps, a detailed transit map of downtown Toronto and map dedicated exclusively to the city's all night bus service. All of these maps are available on the TTC website as downloadable files that travelers can view on any supported Web browser. The TTC's maps do not show the complete road network of Toronto, as the organization decided to remove all but the most relevant streets to make reading the routes easier.
