Property parcel maps can be obtained from or viewed at the local assessor's office for the property. An assessor is a local official who responsible for determining value of property for tax purposes.
Some assessor offices offer online property parcel maps via the office's website. The maps require users to enter the address of the property they'd like to view. If an online map is not available, it is possible to visit the assessor's office in person and request to see the data. Although property parcels are defined by their sizes and locations, in order to determine the exact location of a property line based on a parcel, a surveyor provides the most accuracy.
