The Toronto subway system covers 68.3 kilometers and includes 69 stations and four lines: the Bloor- Danforth line, the Yonge- University Line, the Scarborough Line and the Sheppard Line. It is the largest rapid transit rail network in Canada and is the second busiest, with an average of 1,093,300 passengers daily. It was the country's first finished subway system. The Toronto subway system is operated by the Toronto Transit Commission.
