The Massachusetts Office of Geographic Information, or MassGIS, offers an interactive online map service that allows users to view geographic features including surveyed town boundaries. This service provides the capability to search by feature, customize the output and print the resulting map.
MassGIS was created by the state legislature as an official agency to coordinate geographic data within the Commonwealth. The online geographic data viewer, known as Oliver, uses geographic data collected by MassGIS to provide thematic mapping services. In addition to municipal boundaries, Oliver can show updated administrative districts, environmental features, infrastructure and individual tax parcels. Users can choose whichever features they want to display and print or export the result.
