Bay Area Rapid Transit routes are viewable at BART.gov. The BART website also posts a list of BART stations in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Orinda, Daly City and other California cities served by Bay Area Rapid Transit.
BART trains travel as far north as Richmond and as far south as Fremont. They serve Pittsburgh and Bay Point to the northeast and Dublin and Pleasanton to the east, as of May 2015. BART rapid transit serves commuters traveling into and out of San Francisco International Airport and Oakland International Airport.
San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transportation System began serving commuters in 1972. Each BART train comprises three to five cars. Powered by third-rail electrification, BART trains can attain speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.
