To use Google Maps, enter your destination in the search box, click Directions, and enter your starting point. The map highlights the most direct route for your road trip, any alternative routes, and the number of miles and expected travel times for each route. The map also shows the location of potential traffic problems such as construction work. Click the bus, person, cycle or plane icons in the search box to calculate the travel times and distances for alternate means of transport. Zoom into the map for a closer view.
To use MapQuest, enter your destination in the search box, click Get Directions, enter the starting point, and choose the car, bus, person or cycle icon. Click Get Directions for a second time. Like Google Maps, MapQuest offers a choice of routes with varying mileage and travel times.
To use DistancesFrom, enter your start and end locations, and click Calculate Distance. Scroll down, and click Show Map to view the trip on a Google map. Scroll down to the section beneath the map to view a range of options, including flight distances and times.Learn more about Geography
