Customers access online flight status information for WestJet by choosing the Flight Status option from the Flights tab on the company's homepage. Users have the option to search by city or flight number.
The option to search by city includes a drop down box with three options: yesterday's flights, today's flights and tomorrow's flights. The user highlights the selected option in the drop down box. The city name box allows the user to type in information, which may include the city, airport, state or country. A drop down menu appears if the user clicks in the box. The final search criteria is whether the location is the arrival or departure city.
Users who know the flight number also have a drop down menu for yesterday's, today's and tomorrow's flights. After making the selection, the user types in the flight number and clicks the Check Flight Status button. The results show below the search boxes. All matching flights appear in a chart with columns for the flight number, departure or arrival city, schedule time and status.
Travelers also have the option of searching for WestJet flight statuses on the airport website. Airports provide updated flight information for all flights coming in and out of the facility.
