Seven pools, 13 water slides and a full-service bar provide entertainment for all ages at Aquatopia, the Camelback Resort indoor water park, as of 2015. A giant wave pool and a surfing and boogie boarding area provide extra fun, and a transparent roof allows guests to bask in the sunlight and play under the stars all year round.
Boasting a 125,000 square-foot, multi-level indoor water park, Aquatopia features the longest indoor water coaster in the United States. The 756-foot-long Storm Chaser offers one and two-person tubes that send guests careening through turns at a speed of 35 feet per second. Tubes go uphill in some areas, and also through pitch black and translucent flumes.
Venus Slydetrap, which is for groups of three or four, blends three water slide experiences into one ride. After shooting down a serpentine flume, guests head into a 16-foot translucent tube with 90-degree corners and dramatic oscillations, finally sending riders into a plunge pool.
Other available water slides include head-first The Himalayan, the fully-enclosed tube ride Outa-Space Race, and Skydive Plummet, which features a 360-degree, figure-eight loop and a 60-foot vertical drop.
Guests can also enjoy a surfing simulator with a flow of 40,000 gallons per minute, a multi-level water play structure, a lazy river and a wave pool with waves ranging from 1 foot in the shallow end to 6 feet in deeper areas.
