Individuals or groups can book a Road Scholar tour on the organization's website or by calling the group's toll-free number, as of 2015. Road Scholar is a nonprofit organization that offers educational travel experiences for adults both domestically and internationally.
Through the website, users select a tour from various geographic locations such as the United States, Africa, the Middle East, Asia or Australia. A drop-down menu lists individual countries and then states, provinces, or locales from regions and continents all over the world. When someone selects a country or state, a list of tours appears 10 to a page. Users can change the list to up to 20 tours per webpage.
Individuals click on the tour title or the More Details section to access information on each tour. Users then click on the red rectangle with white letters that says Enroll Here to sign up for a particular tour. Dates for the tour appear just to the right of this rectangle, and travelers can change the date by clicking on the desired date range. Customers register with the program by selecting single or double occupancy and then Add to Cart.
Users may purchase the program after registration by calling the purchase hotline. Prospective travelers can also call the Road Scholar toll-free number for assistance. Customer service hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET.
