As of September 2015, Condé Nast Traveler and Oyster.com offer lists of popular adults-only resorts in tropical locations such as Mexico and Jamaica. Both publications focus on all-inclusive resorts, some of which cater exclusively to couples.

Condé Nast Traveler's top recommendation is the Excellence Playa Mujeres resort near Cancun, Mexico. This resort features a beachfront golf course, aqua wellness spa treatments and suites with rooftop terraces. The publication's list also includes Couples Swept Away, a Negril, Jamaica resort that caters to couples with private verandas and numerous cocktail bars and open-air restaurants. In addition, Condé Nast recommends the natural mineral pools and secluded suites of the Couples San Souci Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Oyster.com recommends Jamaica's The Caves, a limited-availability resort with just 12 suites and cottages. The small size of this resort gives it an intimate, secluded feel, and it also features attentive service and views of tropical gardens and seaside cliffs. Oyster also features Mexico's Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya, which features Mediterranean style and a focus on wellness. The resort offers unique amenities such as daily champagne delivery, suites with private pools, complementary tequila and chauffeured transportation between the resort and the airport. Oyster also recommends Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay in Jamaica, which features a dive center, a casino and eight restaurants.
