It is impossible to book a flight with Mexicana Airlines, because the company is no longer operating commercial flights as of 2015. They suspended operations on August 28, 2010, one day after declaring bankruptcy. Med Atlantic bought the airline in 2012.
Mexicana Airlines merged with AeroMexico in 1995, but the two airlines continued to operate under their respective brand names. In 2005, Mexicana separated from AeroMexico when Grupo Mexico purchased the airline. Before the bankruptcy, Mexicana was the longest-operating airline in North America. In addition to domestic flights, it served destinations in North America, South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe.
