The Tropical Breeze Resort, also on the northern end, is a combination of hotel rooms, suites and cottages spread out in a residential area. None of the rooms are more than a couple of blocks from the beach, but the cottages are just across the street from the sand. Accommodations are boldly colored, inside and out. Amenities include free wireless Internet, three pools, a pool house and barbecue grills. Pets are welcome, with prior notice.
Turtle Beach Resort, on the southern tip of Siesta Key, fronts Turtle Beach. This beach has a steeper entry into the water and the sand is a darker tan color. Turtle Beach is known for its abundance of shells and the occasional find of a shark tooth fossil. Accommodations include studios, one and two-bedroom cottages done up in a rustic, Polynesian theme. Each one has a private courtyard and hot tub.Learn more about Geography
