Depending on the cabin selection and destination, Air China allows between one and two pieces of carry-on baggage, weighing between 5 kilograms and 8 kilograms, plus one to two pieces of checked baggage weighing between 23 and 50 kilograms. Folding strollers and bassinets do not count towards allowance.
On domestic flights, first class passengers can carry on two pieces with a weight of no more than 5 kilograms per bag while business and economy class passengers can bring only a single carry-on bag weighing up to 5 kilograms. International flights allow first class and business class passengers to bring two bags on the plane with a weight of 8 kilograms. Economy class passengers receive an allowance of one bag with a weight of 5 kilograms.
On international flights, first and business class passengers are allowed two pieces of checked baggage but must keep the weight below 32 kilograms and the linear dimensions of no more than 158 centimeters. Economy class passengers may also check two pieces of baggage, but the weight cannot exceed 23 kilograms. The number of bags on domestic flights is not limited, but the total weight for first class passengers must stay within 40 kilograms. Business class passengers need to check bags weighing less than 30 kilograms, and economy class needs bags weighing only 23 kilograms.
