The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service runs the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery. In addition to viewing portions of the hatchery area, visitors can also take part in the on-site conservation and outdoor recreation educational programs. There are also areas for fishing and camping located in the park.
Additional outdoor opportunities are available at Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest-CNF, including hiking, camping and picnicking on the park's 118,000 acres of land. The park offers a setting of scenic forests and waterways.
Flew the Coop - Geocaching at North Georgia Canopy Tours provides a five-stage geocache setting where visitors can learn about the wildlife, flora and history of north Georgia by searching for clues. Old Sautee Store was originally a general store, built in 1872; as of 2015, it is a museum. Visitors can also buy snacks and drinks from an earlier time period at the museum. The Walking Tour of Our Solar System is a walking tour through a 1.8-mile scale model of the solar system.Learn more about Geography
