Some of the attractions on the Daytona Beach Boardwalk include the Joyland Amusement Center, the Mardi Gras Fun Center and Michael's on the Beach. On Saturday nights between Memorial Day and Labor Day, fireworks light up the sky. Live concerts are held at the Daytona Bandshell throughout the year. Street performers, such as jugglers, dancers and magicians, entertain people on a rotating basis. The white sand beach is also a big attraction.
The Joyland Amusement Center and the Mardi Gras Fun Center both have arcades with games reminiscent of the 1950s as well as more modern challenges. Both venues have their own snack bars. The Mardi Gras Fun Center has a New Orleans style vibe. The Pizza King shop sells pizza by the slice, while Zeno's Boardwalk Sweet Shop is the place to go for treats such as salt water taffy. Michael's on the Beach is one of many gift shops selling souvenirs.
Daytona Beach Boardwalk also has its share of rides, including a Ferris wheel, go-karts and a roller coaster. Old time carnival games, such as the Milk Jug Toss, Skeeball and Down the Clown are also within steps of the beach. One of the all-time favorite oldies is Pac-Man, well-known by early video game enthusiasts and just being discovered by the younger crowd.
