Cook Forest is known as Pennsylvania's "Black Forest." There are incredible trails to explore on foot or on horseback. The park is bordered by the Clarion River, a great place for fishing for freshwater game fish and panfish. Pale Whale Canoe and Cook Forest Canoe Livery offer canoe, innertube and kayak rentals. Other activities near Cook Forest include bumper boats, go carts and mini golf.

Another interesting attraction, just five miles south of Cook Forest, is Jesse's Dream Park. Jesse's Dream Park features an indoor dark labyrinth with lasers, strobe lights and eerie music. The "Mysterious Maze," filled with optical illusions, is two stories high. Also at the park is the Jackpot! driving range. The range features yardage markers, target greens, natural turf, a sheltered tee-off and astro-turf mats.
