The Audrain Autombile Museum contains vintage and modern vehicles, including some of the rarest automobiles in the world, from hot rods to pre-war cars. The restored 1970 Pontiac Firebird on display has a twin-turbo V8 engine and Corbeau Racing seats. The Pre-War Collection offers a glimpse into automobiles manufactured before World War II, with a 1929 Rolls-Royce Springfield Phantom I B and a 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport Berlinetta. The third exhibit features supercars, from the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing to the 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider.
Newport offers many historic attractions, such as Fort Adams, a military installation established in the 1700s with simple earthen fortifications that become a stronghold during both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and a tactical location during World War II, keeping any German submarines from breaching Narragansett Bay.
