The Arabian Peninsula is located in the southwest corner of Asia between the Red Sea to the west, the Arabian Sea to the south and the Persian Gulf to the east, according to HowStuffWorks. The Syrian Desert bounds its north.
The countries of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Yemen and Bahrain are located on the Arabian Peninsula. The Gulf of Oman, Gulf of Aden and Gulf of Aqaba extend into it. The peninsula's terrain is mostly desert with mountain ranges and scattered oases. The Arabian Peninsula's location at the point where Asia, Africa and Europe meet gives it political significance.
