Amtrak's routes and fares are available through Amtrak.com. The website lists specific destinations and schedules. When looking for fares, select an itinerary to include the departing and arriving train stations, dates of travel and number of passengers. Amtrak presents available options and pricing.
Amtrak offers four pricing options. The first option, Saver, is the most economical, and includes two complimentary checked bags and available eVouchers. The second option is Value; it is slightly more expensive than Saver, but it offers a possible refund if necessary in addition to the two complimentary checked bags and available eVouchers. Discount programs are applicable when booking the Value option as well. The Flexible pricing option offers the same benefits as the Saver and Value options, and the ticket is fully refundable if necessary. The most expensive option is Premium, which offers a first-class or business class seat in addition to the ticket being possibly refundable.
Book tickets directly on Amtrak.com. Simply select the itinerary and pricing option. From here, you can also book hotels and other activities at the destination. Next, provide the traveler's contact information, and select the method of payment. You can opt to receive the train ticket via email or through a Quik-Trak machine or agent at the station.
