Oglebay Resort & Conference Center features a variety of amenities including a spa, dining, golfing, a zoo, and activities such as swimming, skiing and tennis. The resort sits on 1700 acres of land just outside of Wheeling, West Virginia, within the Appalachian Mountains.
The resort's West Spa at Wilson Lodge features services such as massage therapy, waxing, facial treatments, body treatments, and manicures and pedicures, as well as healing treatments such as Thai yoga, Reiki and reflexology. The spa offers both bridal packages and overnight packages.
The golfing option includes two courses. One designed by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer and the other a championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The on-site golf club features locker room facilities, a pro shop and the Speidel Grill, which overlooks the Jones course's 18th hole.
The dining options at the resort include the causal Glassworks Grill and the formal Ihlenfeld Dining Room. The resort also features catering and banquet menus as well as bridal menus.
The on-site zoo, the Good Zoo, features over 50 species of animals and sits on 34 acres. Animals at the zoo include specteckled bears, meerkats, red pandas and river otters. The zoo also has an on-site theater, the Benedum Theater, that holds educational zoo presentations and laser shows.
