In addition to its base location in Seattle, Alaska Airlines serves several other Washington cities, including Bellingham and Spokane. Some of its California destinations include Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento and Fresno, among others. It serves 20 destinations in its namesake state of Alaska, most notably Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Nome.
Out of 880 daily departures, 258 originate in Seattle, 112 come from Portland and 107 come from Anchorage. However, the carrier serves 30 of the lower 48 states and Hawaii. In 1989, it began service to Canada, primarily through its sister carrier, Horizon Air. It also serves seven destinations in Mexico, with Cancun added in 2014.
