St. Lucia has two airports: George F. Charles airport, in the north of the island near Castries, and Hewanorra International Airport, in the south of the island near Vieux Fort. Visitors flying from the United States can fly from New York using Delta Air Lines or Jet Blue Airways. The flight typically takes 3.5 hours. Delta also offers flights from Atlanta, while American Airlines has flights from Miami and Charlotte, as of 2015.
