American Airlines operates direct flights between Panama and Miami, Florida, or Dallas, Texas. Delta only directly flies between Panama and Atlanta, Georgia. Continental Airlines' U.S. destinations include Miami, Florida, Los Angeles, California, and Houston, Texas. Spirit Airlines operates one route between Panama and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since these are all major domestic airlines, they use connecting flights to fly to any other airport in the United States.
Among the international airlines, Copa Airlines is the carrier that operates the most flights to and from Panama. Copa Airlines flies to Panama from South American cities, such as Buenos Aires, Argentina; Central American cities, such as Guatemala City; and Caribbean cities such as Havana, Cuba.
