Conde Nast Traveler gave Travaasa Austin its reader's choice award for the best resort in Texas and the Southwest in 2014. The resort is located 20 miles outside of Austin on a hilltop in a private nature reserve surrounded by forested valleys. The Out NYC caters to gay and lesbian couples but states that it is also "straight friendly." It is an urban resort and spa designed with a distinctly modern style situated in the Manhattan borough.
