The recipe for Zing Zang bloody Mary mix was created by a Chicago construction executive in 1996. A traditional bloody Mary recipe calls for tomato juice, horseradish, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon and celery salt, but Zing Zang uses a few ingredients that give it a unique twist. Instead of straight tomato juice, it uses a vegetable juice blend, and it also incorporates the flavors of vinegar and onion to bring out the other flavors.
