The world record for the Most People Blowing a Chewing Gum Bubble Simultaneously was achieved in Aberdeen, Maryland on August 8, 2014. The record was performed as part of a publicity event for Big League Chew, a bubble gum company that creates gum in the shape of shredded tobacco. Since the use of tobacco in baseball has been declining, the Big League Chew brand decided to use the attempt at the world record as a publicity event.

Big League Chew gathered 721 people together at a youth baseball tournament and asked them to chew their gum and then blow the gum into a bubble. Their bubbles were sustained for 30 seconds, which set the world record.
