Some ways to cook turkey necks include slow cooking, baking or boiling. In any method, turkey necks are cooked in liquid, either stock or water. Turkey necks take approximately four hours to slow cook and approximately two hours to bake or boil.
To make slow-cooked turkey necks, place 4 turkey necks, 1 thinly sliced yellow onion, 4 cloves of minced garlic, salt and pepper in a large stockpot. Cover the necks with hot water, then cover and simmer. Check the turkey necks every 30 minutes to ensure there is enough hot water to cover the necks. The necks are done when the meat easily peels off the bone, which usually takes around four hours.
