Good cocktail recipes are available at cocktail recipe websites, such as Webtender.com; cooking websites with dedicated cocktail sections, such as AllRecipes.com; and book reference guides, such as “The Everything Bartender’s Book: Your Complete Guide to Cocktails, Martinis, Mixed Drinks, and More!” by Cheryl Charming. Some recipes from these resources include a Shaggy’s Manhattan, an apple martini and raspberry Long Island iced tea.
To make the Shaggy’s Manhattan recipe at AllRecipes.com, pour 1 ounce of sweet vermouth into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Add 3 ounces of bourbon whiskey and 2 dashes of bitters. Cap the shaker, and shake it for approximately 30 seconds to combine. Divide the cocktail between two glasses, and garnish each with a maraschino cherry.
To make the apple martini recipe at Webtender.com, pour 1 part vodka into a shaker, and add 1 part sour apple schnapps and 1 part apple juice. Shake the ingredients to combine, and pour the cocktail into a martini glass to serve.
To make a raspberry Long Island iced tea, fill a tall glass with ice, and add 1/2 ounce of raspberry vodka, 1/2 ounce of gin, 1/2 ounce of raspberry rum, 1/2 ounce of tequila and 1/2 ounce of triple sec. To the alcohol, add 1 ounce of sour mix and a splash of 7UP or Sprite. Use a stirrer to mix the ingredients.
