Use Flesichmann's yeast to make pizza crust, many different types of bread, cinnamon rolls, donuts and a variety of other pastries. Breadworld.com, the official source of information on Fleischmann's yeast for home bakers, offers detailed recipes and general advice for using Fleischmann's products.
Fleischmann makes several yeast products, each ideal in different types of recipes. Fleischmann's Pizza Crust Yeast can make thick- or thin-crust pizzas. The company's Bread Machine Yeast and Rapid Rise Yeast work well in bread recipes made in bread machines. Active Dry Yeast and Fresh Active Yeast are ideal for bread and pastry recipes baked in ovens.
A good recipe for beginning bakers is Fleischmann's No-Knead White Bread recipe. Stir together 1 and 1/2 cups of white flour, one packet of RapidRise yeast, 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of salt. In a separate bowl mix 1 cup of water, 1 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of butter. Microwave the milk, butter and sugar until the mixture is warm but not hot, and add it to the flour mixture.
Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until the ingredients are well mixed. Add 2 and 3/4 cups of flour and occasionally scrape the sides of the bowl while mixing for two more minutes. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes. Beat dough down with a spoon for 30 seconds and pour into a 9-inch by 5-inch loaf pan. Cover again with the towel and allow the dough to rise until it has doubled in size. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit and enjoy when cool.
