Folgers is the top coffee brand in the United States, according to Huffington Post. In 2013, Folgers held 15.6 percent of the country's market share in the coffee industry, followed by Maxwell House at 10 percent and Green Mountain Coffee at 4.3 percent.
Americans purchased more Folgers coffee in 2013 than any other brand, states Bloomberg. Other notable brands include Starbucks and J.M. Smucker's, the company that packages Dunkin' Donuts, Millstone, Café Pilon and Café Bustelo coffee. Starbucks held 3.3 percent of the market share in 2013, while J.M. Smucker's grew its share by 4 percent that year across all of its brands.
