A tasty recipe for beef dumplings consists of 1/2 pound ground chuck beef, 4 scallions, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 package of pot sticker wraps and a few additional ingredients. This is an easy recipe to make that takes about thirty minutes to prepare.
To make the beef dumplings, place the beef, scallions, 3 tablespoons of water and soy sauce in a large bowl. Once these ingredients are well combined, place a small amount of this mixture onto the dumpling wrappers. Wetting your fingers with the beaten egg, gently pinch and press the edges of the wrappers to seal them.
Next, preheat a large, non-stick frying pan. Place the dumplings into the pan once it is heated up. Cook the dumplings without touching them for three minutes. Add in 3 tablespoons of water, cover the pan, and reduce heat to medium. Cook the dumplings an additional five minutes until all the water evaporates. The dumplings are now ready to eat. This recipe should make about 20 dumplings.
For an extra layer of flavor, mix in some garlic and ginger into the beef mixture. For a different texture, try steaming the dumplings in a double steamer for eight to 10 minutes before frying. An easy dipping sauce can be made by combining equal parts rice wine vinegar and soy sauce.
