Several studies have shown that drinking sparkling mineral water is a good way to boost calcium intake and improve bone health, particularly for people that are lactose intolerant and cannot consume dairy. One study also suggested that the beverage reduced low-density lipoprotein, a form of cholesterol that is unhealthy. Tap water contains minerals as well, but not is as high a concentration as sparkling mineral water.
