What Are Some Slow-Cooker Recipes for Ham?


One recipe involves placing 1 1/2 cups brown sugar in the bottom of the slow cooker and adding the ham flat side down. Rub 1/2 cup brown sugar on the ham, and cook on low for eight hours. Add 1/2 cup pineapple juice before the brown sugar for a variation.

Another option for slow cooker ham is to make 1/4-inch deep cuts in the ham about 1 inch apart in a diamond pattern. Place the ham in the slow cooker and pour the desired sauce over the ham. Put 3 pounds thinly sliced potatoes in the slow cooker, then mix with 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup chopped onion and 1 cup chopped, cooked ham. Stir together one can condensed cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup water and season with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper.
