Skittles candy does not contain pork, according to the manufacturer Wrigley. Skittles contain sugar, corn syrup, hydrogenated palm kernel oil, citric acid, tapioca, corn starch, artificial and natural flavors, food coloring, sodium citrate and carnauba wax.
Skittles candy are bite-sized, fruit-flavored chews in a hard candy shell. Wrigley began manufacturing the candy in 1979. The original five-flavor combination of orange, strawberry, lemon, grape and lime was the only option until 1989. In 2004, Skittles Bubble Gum was added to the product line. Other options continue to be developed and included chewy candy with a fizz and candy that is colored differently than it is flavored.
