To make balsamic Teriyaki sauce melt 1 1/2 tablespoons of unsalted butter until it is bubbling. Then add 1 minced shallot, 2 cloves finely minced garlic, and then cook for three minutes. Pour in 1 cup of balsamic vinegar, bring to boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes. Mix in 2 teaspoons sugar, 1/4 cup beef flavored broth, 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon sweet rice wine. Heat on low for five minutes and serve over cooked meat.

To prepare a Teriyaki marinade that can be used with any meat mix together 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1 teaspoon crushed garlic, and also 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
