Some simple stovetop chicken recipes include Thai chicken saute, pan-fried chicken and bacon-wrapped chicken tenders. Chicken can also be cooked on a stove for use in chicken salads such as Thai ginger chicken salad or in chicken and sugar snap pea stir-fry.
To make Thai ginger chicken salad, cook 1 pound of chicken breasts cut into cubes in a skillet with 2 tablespoons of oil. After one minute, add 1 tablespoon of minced fresh ginger, 2 tablespoons of chopped shallot and 1 tablespoon of diced lemongrass. Cook for four minutes, and remove the food from heat. Mix it with cooked rice noodles, and mix with dressing made from 2 teaspoons of minced ginger, two sliced Thai chiles, 1/2 cup of lime juice, 1/2 cup of fish sauce, 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/2 minced garlic clove. Top with fresh cilantro, mint and basil in large butter lettuce leaves.
Another simple stovetop recipe only requires sage, chicken tenders, bacon and olive oil. Place a whole fresh sage leaf on a chicken tender. Wrap a raw slice of bacon around the chicken tender and leaf. Repeat this process for eight chicken tenders. Heat 1/2 teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and cook the chicken for six minutes on each side.
