A simple and seasonal Starbucks copycat recipe is a pumpkin spice latte. To make it, add 3 tablespoons of pureed pumpkin into a saucepan along with 1 cup of milk. Stir to blend. Add 2 tablespoons of vanilla-flavored syrup and 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. Gently heat the mixture, and stir occasionally until it is steaming and foam begins to appear.
Pour the pumpkin-flavored milk into a tall mug, and pour 3 ounces, or 1 to 2 shots, of espresso over it. Top with whip cream and a dash of pumpkin pie spice. You can also add a bit of vanilla-flavored coffee cream for a sweeter latte.
To make a copycat Starbucks caramel Frappuccino, start with 1 cup of strongly-brewed coffee that has been chilled. Blend it with 1 cup of low-fat milk, 1/3 cup of caramel sauce, 3 tablespoons of sugar and 2 cups of ice in a blender set to high speed. Blend until smooth. Pour into two 16-ounce glasses.
Another simple copycat version of this recipe is a Starbucks vanilla Frappuccino. To make it, brew 10 cups of coffee and let it cool. Add 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of vanilla coffee creamer. Blend all ingredients together, and chill in the refrigerator until cold.
