An easy red wine sangria recipe combines two bottles of red wine with 1 cup each of brandy, orange juice and pomegranate juice, 1/2 cup triple sec and simple syrup in a pitcher. Add orange and apple slices, blackberries, and pomegranate seeds. Let sangria sit in refrigerator for 24 hours.
Another easy sangria recipe uses less fruit and adds soda. Add one bottle of red wine to a pitcher, and squeeze in the juice of one orange and one lemon, which are cut into wedges. Put the fruit wedges into the pitcher as well, but avoid adding any seeds. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and a shot of brandy, then refrigerate the mixture overnight. Stir in 2 cups ginger ale or club soda before serving.
Sparkling water, apples, oranges and orange liqueur create a different flavored sangria. Cut up two apples and oranges into wedges, and add them to a pitcher. Add 1/2 cup brandy and 1/4 cup orange liqueur, then pour one bottle of red wine into the pitcher. Stir together all ingredients, then refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight. When serving, pour 2 to 3 cups sparkling water over the sangria. For a sweeter version, substitute tonic water for the sparkling water.
