Simple pepperoni roll recipes include those made from crescent rolls or from canned biscuits. Both recipes offer a quick and easy way to make this treat, taking only a few minutes to prepare and requiring minimal ingredients.
Divide a can of crescent rolls into its eight individual triangles, patting out each triangle slightly. Put 3 slices of pepperoni near the center of each triangle. Add about 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each pepperoni slice. Beginning with the shortest side of the triangle, roll them up to the point. Place the rolls on an ungreased cookie sheet with the point side facing down, and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. You can serve them alone or with a marinara for a dipping sauce.
Make pepperoni rolls with 8 buttermilk biscuits from a 16 1/3-ounce can. Flatten the biscuits out, and layer each one with a slice of pepperoni, a cube of your favorite cheese topped with another slice of pepperoni. Press the edges closed at the top. Lightly coat the tops with a beaten egg, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Bake them in a small greased pan for about 20 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and serve warm.
