Ina Garten's recipe for hummus takes 10 minutes to prepare and calls for ingredients such as garlic cloves, canned chickpeas, tahini sesame paste, freshly squeezed lemon juice and hot sauce. The recipe is available at FoodNetwork.com.
Using a food processor, blend four peeled garlic cloves until they are minced. Drain 2 cups of canned chickpeas and reserve the liquid. Add the chickpeas to the food processor with 1 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt, 1/3 cup of tahini sesame paste, 6 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of liquid from the chickpeas and 8 dashes of hot sauce. Process the ingredients until the hummus reaches the consistency of a coarse puree. Taste the hummus and adjust the seasonings as necessary.
