Allrecipes and Epicurious both offer a simple dill sauce recipe that calls for ingredients such as sour cream and Dijon mustard. Taste of Home also publishes a dill sauce recipe designed to serve over salmon fillets. All three recipes require less than five minutes to prepare.
To make Allrecipe's dill sauce, combine 1/2 cup sour cream with 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon-style prepared mustard and 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended, and then chill the dill sauce prior to serving. The recipe yields 12 tablespoons of sauce.
Prepare Epicurious’ dill sauce by mixing together 2/3 cup each mayonnaise and sour cream, 2 tablespoons each finely chopped green onion and finely chopped parsley, and 1 teaspoon finely chopped dill. Substitute 1 teaspoon dried dill for the fresh dill if desired. Salt and pepper the sauce to taste.
To make Taste of Home’s dill sauce, combine 1/3 cup each sour cream and mayonnaise with 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion and 1 teaspoon each lemon juice and prepared horseradish. Add 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, 3/4 teaspoon dill weed and pepper to taste. Stir the ingredients until smooth, and serve. The recipe makes six servings.
