A simple monkey bread recipe is Grands! monkey bread from Pillsbury and gooey caramel monkey bread from Betty Crocker. The former requires only 2 cans of premade dough biscuits, butter, sugar, nuts and raisins.
Make Pillsbury's monkey bread by mixing together 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Next, separate and quarter the biscuits, and dredge them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place the dough pieces, 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup of raisins in a greased fluted tube pan. Combine 1 cup of packed brown sugar with 3/4 cup of melted butter, and pour over the biscuits. Bake at 350 F for 28 to 32 minutes, and invert the pan after allowing the monkey bread to cook for 10 minutes.
Make another easy recipe by combining 2/3 cup of granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a bag and then adding 4 cans of quartered buttermilk biscuits to the bag. Shake well, and place in a greased Bundt pan. Melt 10 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium high heat, and add 1 cup of packed brown sugar. Allow the mixture to boil for one minute before pouring over the biscuits. Bake at 350 F for 30 to 45 minutes, allow the bread to cool for 5 minutes, and then turn upside down.
