Chocolate-dipped strawberries are an easy desert to make. Melt 16 ounces of milk chocolate chips with 2 ounces of shortening in a double boiler, stirring occasionally. Dip strawberries into the chocolate mixture and insert a toothpick into the top of each strawberry.
To make a 15-minute berries and coconut desert recipe, gather 2 pounds of freshly mixed berries, such as blackberries, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk 1/2 cup of raspberry jam to a smooth consistency. Fold the heavy whipping cream into the mixture. Spoon it into serving bowls and top with fresh raspberries. Garnish the tops with crushed cookies of your choice.
