Bacon wrapped potatoes, sausage cheddar balls and crab salad canapés are great cocktail party finger foods. Cook these items ahead of time, and serve them at room temperature. Other finger food choices include stuffed mushrooms, crab puffs and sushi.
To make bacon wrapped potatoes, cut 8 slices of bacon in half crosswise. Wrap each piece of bacon around a small potato. Secure the bacon with a toothpick, and bake in an oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 to 50 minutes.
To make sausage and cheddar balls, combine 1-pound bulk hot sausage, 3 cups baking mix and 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese in a large bowl. Mix well. Form mixture into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
