One simple almond cookie recipe involves preheating the oven to 350 F, mixing all of the cookie ingredients into a large bowl, rolling the dough into small balls and placing them two inches apart on a cooking sheet. Finally, the cookies must be allowed to bake for 15 minutes.
Start by preheating the oven to 350 F. Mix 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of butter, 7 tablespoons of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract into a large bowl. Stir the ingredients until the batter is blended well. Add 1 cup of chopped almonds, and stir until they are mixed into the batter.
Roll the dough into small balls. The ball size depends on how large of a cookie you want. For normal-sized cookies, the balls should be as big as a walnut. Place the balls about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet. Place the sheet in the oven after it has preheated for about 15 minutes.
Allow the cookies to bake for roughly 15 minutes or until they are golden brown. Check the bottom of a cookie to make sure they have not burned. Remove the cookies from the oven once they are ready, and allow them to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
