For a simple JJ Virgin diet shake, blend 1 cup of water with 1 to 2 scoops of vegan pea-rice protein powder, 1 to 2 scoops of fiber and 1/2 to 1 cup of organic frozen berries. In place of water, JJ Virgin recommends using unsweetened coconut milk.
For a thinner shake, use just 1 scoop of fiber and 1/2 cup of organic frozen fruit. Increase the water portion to 10 ounces and blend all of the ingredients with 1 cup of spinach and 1 to 2 scoops of protein powder.
For a thicker shake, increase the portion of fruit to 1 cup. Add 1 serving of chia seeds, hemp seeds or freshly ground flaxseeds to 1 scoop of fiber and 1 to 2 scoops of protein. Blend all of the ingredients with 1 cup of water and ice cubes.
For alternatives, try any unsweetened non-dairy milk instead of water. An animal-based protein powder works in place of a vegan one, if it is also dairy-free. For a different flavor profile, add 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder or almond butter.
