Applebee's and Olive Garden are some restaurants that have healthy eating menus. The Applebee's healthy eating menu is the "Have it All" section on the regular menu, while the Olive Garden healthy eating menu is the "Lighter Italian Fare" section on the regular menu.
The Applebee's "Have it All" menu features seven entrée choices under 600 calories each, as of July 2015. Choices include cedar-grilled lemon chicken, shrimp and broccoli cavatappi, pepper-crusted sirloin with whole grains and Thai shrimp salad. Others include savory cedar salmon, Napa chicken with portobello mushrooms and steakhouse bruschetta sirloin.
The Olive Garden "Lighter Italian Fare" menu includes four entrée choices under 550 calories each. As of July 2015, choices include garlic rosemary chicken, baked tilapia with shrimp, citrus chicken Sorrento and herb-grilled salmon.
All healthy entrées on both menus include a simple grilled or baked meat or fish with light fruits or vegetables as the side. For instance, Olive Garden serves the herb-grilled salmon alongside Parmesan-garlic broccoli, and the garlic rosemary chicken alongside Parmesan-garlic mashed potatoes and steamed spinach. Applebee's features the steakhouse bruschetta sirloin with sides of roasted red potatoes and a grilled portobello mushroom cap. The cedar-grilled lemon chicken comes with Granny Smith apple relish and fresh cranberries.
