Two excellent recipes including Jell-o and Cool Whip are the Jell-O magic mousse and pineapple Jell-O mold. Both of these recipes are very basic, do not take much time in the kitchen and are excellent desserts for hot days.
The best recipes that incorporate both Jell-o and Cool Whip take the form of a dessert. In most cases, the Jell-o forms the core component of the desert, while the Cool Whip is merely there to serve as an optional topping.
The Jell-o magic mousse requires three cups of boiling water, one package of strawberry Jell-o and one tub of thawed Cool Whip. Simply mix the water with Jell-o and use the Cool Whip to whisk the mixture for a thinner texture if desired. Pour this mixture into cups and allow to freeze for eight hours, or until sufficiently firm. Top with further Cool Whip when finished.
The pineapple Jell-o mold recipe requires a large box of lime-flavored Jell-o, a one-pound can of crushed or diced pineapple, and one large tub of Cool Whip. First, drain the juice out of the pineapple can, and save it. Mix this with cold water and add it to the Jell-o. Refrigerate this mixture until it is set, then add Cool Whip as a topping.
