Some recipes using Heinz ketchup include Asian-style mango sauce and caramelized onion and garlic ketchup. To make Asian-style mango sauce, peel and chop 1 cup of ripe mango. Add the mango to a blender with 1/2 cup of Heinz tomato ketchup, 1/4 cup of lime juice, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of honey.
Process the ingredients until they are smooth and thoroughly combined, and then transfer the sauce to a sauce pan. Boil the sauce over high heat, and then reduce the heat to simmer for five minutes. Cool the sauce before serving.
To make caramelized onion and garlic ketchup, heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil over medium-low heat. Dice 1/2 cup of onion into small pieces, and add it to the oil with a dash of salt and pepper. Cook the onions for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring them to prevent burn marks. Mince 3 cloves of garlic, and add them to the pan.
Cook the onions and garlic for five minutes, and then remove them from the heat. Let them rest for three to four minutes, and then transfer them to a medium-size bowl. Add 1 1/2 cup of Heinz tomato ketchup and 1 teaspoon of ground chipotle powder, and stir to combine.
